Renovated Clemson planetarium begins its second half-century Print E-mail

The recently renovated planetarium at Clemson University has reopened with high-definition projectors and a database of nearly a million celestial objects, all accompanied by surround sound audio. Originally created in 1961 just months after the first American space flight by Alan Shepard, the planetarium has hosted more than 100,000 visitors in its first half century.
